Clean lines and a focus on the natural grains of the fine hardwoods are a key feature of Integra Tree pieces. The above table is one of several created for clients, all using custom measurements and close partnership during the selection process for the wood. It was designed to fit the client's kitchen and the idea of making it look like one of Dave's cutting boards with a variety of woods was the creative inspiration. The table is crafted from Bristol Cone Pine, Cherry, Walnut.
VANITY
A custom bathroom vanity built for a long-awaited bathroom remodel. The client wanted a durable surface and a vessel sink. So this design was created, bringing together elements of the classic and modern styles. Available in a variety of custom finishes and models.
DRAWERS
This picture shows a piece with a hidden compartment behind a drawer. The hinges allow the top of the piece to open and the client to access the space behind a drawer. It's the perfect spot to store anything you might want to keep out of sight. Dave has also built hidden compartments for firearms into various pieces of furniture, including a hidden gun rack tucked into a bed's headboard.
The above pieces showcase Dave's attention to detail in his carpentry work. Notice the continuous wood grain feature through the two drawers in the picture on the right.
TECHNIQUE
Dave uses old-style craftsmanship in his pieces. This half-blind dovetail is one example of his knowledge of hand tools and his ability to forego power tools in his consistent effort to provide a higher quality end product.
CUTTING BOARDS
In an effort to run a zero-waste facility, Dave recycles unused off cuts of precious woods and turns them into cutting boards, among other things. His Louisiana roots and passion for cooking also help motivate him to bring his craftsmanship to kitchens across the country. Available in custom sizes.
